Susan Klauber
ABOUT THE POET
Susan Klauber came to Fairfield in 1983 to participate with 8000 others in the two week “Taste of Utopia” TM course to create harmony and a better quality of life. She never left.
Born in Sudbury, Canada, in 1945, and married to an American, Susan has lived and traveled in North and South America, Europe, and India, always drawn by the personal growth and inner richness that foreign cultures inspire. Retired from business and teaching fitness, she pursues her interests in writing poetry, traveling, and spiritual development. An athlete, she is now transitioning from ardent to occasional golfer and used-to-be hockey player.
Her poetry and prose have appeared in the Harcourt Canada textbook Elements of English 11, in the journals The MacGuffin, Poetry Motel, Iowa Source, Contemporary Review, and in the anthologies Eclipsed Moon Coins: Twenty-Six Visionary Poets and The Dryland Fish. Blue Light Press of Fairfield published her first book of poetry and prose, Face-off at Center Ice.
She is currently working on publishing a book of poetry and prose based on her 7 winters in India, Sound of the Sacred Beads: A Poet’s Journey into India.
