Barry Rosen

ABOUT THE POET

Barry Rosen began writing poetry at the University of Illinois in Urbana. During his PhD studies at Indiana University, he specialized in studying the mystical tradition of literature and was always fascinated by peak experiences and mystical experiences as they were expressed in poetry. He was a research assistant and instructor at MIU in 1979-80. He has taught literature at Maharishi International University as a visiting instructor and also taught film studies and literature at Indiana University and the University of Iowa. In 1994, he began studying with Diane Frank, who was a kind of muse that inspired him and has brought out the best in his poetry. He has continued studying with her through her on-line workshops and personal guidance. Barry currently lives in Sedona, AZ with his wife Bonnie Gould and has a career as a commodity trading advisor. He lived in Fairfield in 1978-1997 with the exception of five years away for graduate school. He can be reached at Barry@fortucast.com.
