Andrea Dana Stevens

ABOUT THE POET

Poetry is compressed language that comes from the human heart. As a poet, teacher, storyteller and writer, I find that poetry is my road to truth, prayer, and the Light of the Divine. I cannot lie when a poem breathes through me. Poetry is the word play across the light of the soul. My poems are mirrors of who I am. These poems are about building and revealing  truth of the heart.  It is about returning for one another to the only hope of humankind: the promise since the dawn of man. It is the promise of sharing food, hearth, hope, and shelter for this planet which is our only home.
